MAKING A REFERRAL

PACTNE: Delivering a high standard of supported accommodation for vulnerable families
PACTNE is able to take referrals from Local Authorities, other third sector organisations, and individual families. Our referral process is designed to ensure two things. Firstly, that a new referral does not impact negatively on existing residents, and secondly, that we believe that at stay at Eagle House has the potential to benefit the whole family.

How do you make a referral?

We have tried to make our referral process as friendly as we can but inevitably this does involve completing a Referral Form. This can be downloaded from this page and you can also download our Information Guide. Once we have received your completed form we will consider the content and ask further relevant questions. When we feel we have a good grasp of the issues facing the family we will invite them and their support/social worker (if they have one) to visit Eagle House. This will allow the family to be sure that what we provide is suitable for them. If we are all convinced that this is the right decision we will offer a new home and support to the family.
We are a small site and sometimes there will be a wait for the right home to become available, but please feel free to contact our office to get more information on availability.

What are the charges?

Most family stays are either fully funded by the Local Authority, or part funded through housing benefit.
Families are asked to contribute a fixed amount towards their utilities such as electricity, gas and water, and each family is responsible for their own council tax and TV licence. If you are referring your own family there will be no additional charges as long as you are eligible for Housing Benefit.
Most fully funded stays are suitable for families who are already have a Social Worker and have more complex support needs. The charges for fully funded stays are dependent on the expected level of support and the size of the home required. Please contact our office for more detail.

Are there people we will not accommodate and support?

Yes. We only provide supported housing for families who are vulnerable in some way. We DO NOT accommodate people who have been convicted of violent crimes, sexual offences or arson. This is in order to ensure the ongoing safety of our existing residents. Please feel free to contact our office if you would like to talk about your specific circumstances.

Do we provide outreach support?

We help families to transition into the community after a stay at Eagle House and floating support will be offered to make sure that this move is as positive as it can be for the whole family. This support will be provided by staff or volunteer family mentors or a combination of the two. We currently have no plans to provide any other form of outreach support in the community.
